The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has partnered with the Abuja City Journal (ACJ) to support the third edition of the National Essay Competition, a move the agency says reflects its commitment to education, youth development, and programmes that stimulate critical thinking.
The agency’s sponsorship gives a major boost to the fast-growing national contest, which has drawn more than 10,000 submissions from young Nigerians this year. The competition, regarded as one of the country’s emerging platforms for nurturing young writers, will hold its grand finale on 26 November in Abuja, with 25 finalists selected from entries across the country.
